Violet

The Aurora Fox Arts Center

Up next on the mainstage at the Aurora Fox Arts Center, “Violet” is a moving contemporary musical about hope, healing and self-discovery. Running June 5 to 28 and directed by Ben Raanan, the production follows a young woman’s transformative journey across the American South in search of healing, belonging and self-acceptance.

Featuring a rich, genre-blending score rooted in American folk, gospel and roots traditions, “Violet” combines emotional storytelling with powerful, character-driven songs. Co-produced with Phamaly Theatre Company, the production brings expanded access and artistry to the stage.

Preview night for “Violet” is Thursday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m., featuring pay-what-you-can pricing.

A special daytime matinee will take place June 25 at 2 p.m., with $15 tickets available for older adults.

Accessibility accommodations include captions at all performances. ASL interpretation and audio description will be available June 14 or by request with two weeks’ notice at info@phamaly.org. Assisted listening devices, accessible seating, low-sensory spaces, Braille programs, accessibility guides and fidgets also will be available.
